  1. CD Jacket Images
  2.  
  3. When using the Audio CD Player, you may enter Audio CD-specific bitmapped
  4. (BMP) images to be displayed in a variety of display modes while playing a CD. 
  5. Up to 20 images may be entered per Audio CD. The different display modes
  6. include: random & sequential screen savers, a "default" CD-Jacket mode where
  7. up to 8 images are displayed around the CD-Player faceplate, tiled & full
  8. screen viewers, a song title box display, and tiled & full screen "track 
  9. sync" modes (see the CD-Jacket Options section below for further information 
  10. on the available display modes).

  12. Note that images 1 through 8 here correspond to the same 1 through 8 shown
  13. in the CD-Jacket section. Images 9 through 20 (if used) will be shown for
  14. all display modes except the default mode. To select a new image (or modify
  15. an existing one), simply click on the record number, image, or track 
  16. description. A selection box will pop up allowing you to change the aspect
  17. ratio of the image (width) and the path & filename where the image is 
  18. located. If you click on the image text, a BMP file selection box will
  19. appear.

  21. The images chosen are automatically sized in height to fit in the available 
  22. space around the Audio CD faceplate if in the default or tiled modes. If in
  23. a full screen mode, then the image will be resized automatically to fill the
  24. entire screen. Note that bitmapped graphics files (or BMPs) of any type may 
  25. be used. If access to a high resolution color scanner is available, jacket 
  26. covers and liner notes (song lyrics) may be scanned and saved as BMP files 
  27. for use during CD playback.

  29. ** NOTE: If a custom background color is selected in the CD-Runner Setup 
  30.          wallpaper section, even if a bitmapped wallpaper image is being used,
  31.          then the "blank" or "dead" space to either side of the Audio CD
  32.          faceplate will be displayed with the custom color selected.

  35. CD Jacket Options

  37. When using the Audio CD Player, you may enter Audio CD-specific bitmapped
  38. (BMP) images to be displayed in a variety of display modes while playing a CD. 
  39. Up to 20 images may be entered per Audio CD.

  41. While using the "default CD-Jacket" display mode, up to 8 BMP images can be 
  42. displayed around the top and bottom "borders" of the Audio CD Player faceplate.
  43. These images are automatically sized in height to fit in the available space;
  44. the aspect ratio of the image may be changed to change the width of the image
  45. if desired. Select the desired aspect ratio from the dropdown box displayed;
  46. the image will be resized on-screen to show how it would appear around the
  47. Audio CD faceplate. To change the image selected for positions 1 through 8
  48. (or to add a new image), click directly on the image box to be changed and a
  49. BMP file selection dialog box will be displayed. Also, the 8 images shown here 
  50. correspond to images 1 through 8 in the Images section.

  52. Note that bitmapped graphics files (or BMPs) of any type may be used. If

  54. notes (song lyrics) may be scanned and saved as BMP files for use during CD
  55. playback. You may also select a default display mode from the mode selection 
  56. box; many display options as described below are provided.

  59.     ** Audio CD Jacket Options:
  60.         
  61.        * Default - up to 8 graphical pictures may be displayed in the "empty"
  62.          space above & below the CD Player faceplate. Any of the 8 pictures
  63.          may be displayed in a full-screen mode by clicking the right mouse
  64.          button on it. When in a full screen mode, return to the "tiled" view
  65.          by clicking the right mouse button again. You may also click the left
  66.          mouse button on any graphical picture to bring up a display selection
  67.          menu containing all of the options described here.

  69.        * ("BMP") Screen Saver / Sequential - display up to 20 graphical pictures 
  70.          in order (1 thru 20...), and change to a new picture in a specified 
  71.          time interval (1 thru 600 seconds); this is a full screen display.

  73.        * ("BMP") Screen Saver / Random - display up to 20 graphical pictures in 
  74.          a random order, as above.
  75.  
  76.        * Track Sync / Tiled - display a new picture for each song, up to 20 
  77.          pictures, in the upper right corner (tiled). If song lyrics are used,
  78.          then graphical picture 1 in the database should correspond to the song
  79.          lyrics for track 1, etc. As above, click the right mouse button to 
  80.          toggle between tiled and full screen views.

  82.        * Track Sync / Full Screen - as above, except full screen pictures 
  83.          synchronized to tracks.
  84.  
  85.        * ("BMP") Viewer / Tiled - display up to graphical pictures with a 
  86.          "tiled viewer" which appears in the upper right corner; use the scroll 
  87.          bar to view any of the pictures entered. As above, click the right 
  88.          mouse button to toggle between tiled and full screen views.

  90.        * ("BMP") Viewer / Full Screen - as above, except pictures are displayed 
  91.          full screen with a scroll bar to select desired pictures.

  93.        * CD-Viewer (Song Title box) - display song titles and times in a 
  94.          scrollable display box at the bottom right corner of the screen; right 
  95.          click to eliminate. Also may be displayed by clicking on artist/album or 
  96.          song title text in the display box. This box will also be automatically 
  97.          displayed when in the program mode. If liner notes have been entered for 
  98.          the Audio CD, then they will be displayed below the song titles/times 
  99.          listing.

  101.          ** this box may also be used as a second keypad to select tracks when
  102.             programming or jumping to a different track in the continuous or 
  103.             single play modes.

  105.        * Slideshow (of BMP files in a directory) - similar to the screen saver 
  106.          above, this option allows you to select a subdirectory containing 
  107.          bitmapped images (files with a BMP file extension) to be viewed. You may 
  108.          select a display time interval, or choose to sort the "playback" of the 
  109.          files by date or filename.

  111.        * Display OFF - disable Audio CD Jacket picture displays; click on red
  112.          "Jacket" indicator in music calendar display window to re-enable.

  115. If either of the screen saver modes is selected, be sure to enter a time
  116. interval; this is used to set the "delay" time between showing new pictures.
  117.  
  118. You may also save the image(s) entered to a "default" file, which can be
  119. used with other CDs. This is useful for entering up to 20 images for use 
  120. with the screen saver for a specific CD, and quickly copying these images
  121. for another CD without having to re-enter every image over again. Select the
  122. "Advanced" option to store a new set of default images or to recall a 
  123. previously stored set of images.
